Turn & Turn About

Text by Samuel Beckett / Images by Mireille Ribière

Turn and Turn About is a visualization of a passage from Molloy by Samuel Beckett devoted to the narrator’s habit of sucking stones: having collected sixteen pebbles from a beach, he devises an elaborate system to ensure that he sucks each one of them in turn, a seemingly futile exercise.

Artist’s book consisting of 40 pages under cover, 18.5 x 15.5 cm. Stab-bound and printed on archival Awagami paper (Unryu, 55gsm with swirling fibers). Limited edition of 8 variable copies presented in a felt pocket.
